Well, we *are* actually using SAMBA over OpenVPN, though only for highly priviliged people right now. It's not even that difficult, if I prepare an installer... Hmm, I'll have to think about that one a little more. I'm afraid that using a proper, certificate-based setup would be rather difficult, but PSK might work. In fact, even certificates may work if I can figure out a way to send them securely and hassle-free to ~ 200 people... Of course, SMB clients are easy to come by on Windows, and OpenVPN can be made to look pretty. Not a bad idea... Thanks, that'll give me some thinking to do! Joachim
