At least show us a dmesg!  How are you attaching the card?  I have a
multi-card reader that attaches 4 different sd* devices:

sd2 at scsibus4 targ 1 lun 0: <Generic, CF, 1.6E> SCSI0 0/direct removable
sd3 at scsibus4 targ 1 lun 1: <Generic, MS, 1.6E> SCSI0 0/direct removable
sd4 at scsibus4 targ 1 lun 2: <Generic, MMC/SD, 1.6E> SCSI0 0/direct removable
sd5 at scsibus4 targ 1 lun 3: <Generic, SM, 1.6E> SCSI0 0/direct removable
