I recently installed -current on a Dell laptop my mother decided she didn’t
want. I have the same problems with iwm0 on this machine (with its AC 3160
wireless device) as were reported for the 3165.
The dmesg I’m reproducing below includes this error msg at the end:

It’s only in the dmesg once, but when working at the console it frequently pops
up in the middle of whatever I’m typing or reading. When connecting via SSH,
it results in frequent 5-second pauses. File downloads are constantly
interrupted (therefore very slow), implying that more work = more errors.
(Same for all of us, I guess.)
I’m afraid I can’t vouch for the machine’s BIOS. Since Dell only provides
updates in the form of a .exe file, I wish I had thought to update before I
installed BSD. I’ll try to find time to create the necessary DOS bootable and
hope the thing doesn’t get bricked in the process, but in the meantime, I’m
using it with a wired connection.
