What you could consider for now: $ ulimit -d 2048000 $ intellij I have a ${HOME}/bin/intellij which does that for me. Although now that I think about it, it is probably better to put that stuff in /usr/local/bin/intellij so users of the intellij port don't need to do "ulimit -d" themselves. I will work on something (probably I'll borrow the mechanism used by the chromium port) and send a diff to ports@. So hopefully soon you won't need to do the "ulimit -d" yourself.
