Not quite as tiny, but in more capable in almost every way are the netbooks of a few years ago. In addition to being small and portable, they can have real networking (wireless (sometimes with a hw swapout) and wired), several USB devices attached, huge (relatively speaking) disks installed, lots of RAM, usable keyboards, etc. With lots of patience (and some swap), can even run modern browsers on them.
