What do you mean by "checking the time"? It just jumps forward for about 150s and immediately restores. So it's not so visible. Though it makes Tor to break all built circuits. Have a look at your Tor log with `notice` debug level. There are probably reports like this: "Your system clock just jumped 150 seconds forward; assuming established circuits no longer work." -- Ivan Markin
