Ooops, I read the above and only I had sent the email I re-read the subject - most likely your USB headset is not initialised before the resume script is being run. Put 'sleep 5' (adjust the time to your needs[0]) before 'mixerctl' command. That should do it. Raf [0] my USB WiFi dongle needs about 3 seconds before it re-attaches
