Some ISPs have MAC address restrictions--has this changed just prior
to the 5.7 install?  Also, with 5.8 almost finished, it might be
worthwhile to try this with a snapshot as well.  Lastly, you might
want to try tcpdumping the DHCP session to gain more insight.
