Does anyone have any experience with running OpenBSD on the Intel C61X or C22X series chipsets? These chipsets are used frequently by Super Micro in their newer line of very common and (relatively) affordable rack mountable servers. In particular I am also curious if the SATA ports would be supported in AHCI mode.
I did a quick grep of sys in 5.7 and current, and it looked to me like there might be some support for C61X in IDE mode using the pciide driver, but nothing for C22X. This matches with the conclusions of a few older threads I found on this list. Also, does anyone know of any developer activity or interest in either of these two chipsets? -Joe
