As far as syslog.conf(5), you can use !!npppd for that purpose. Currently npppd or pipex itself doesn't have any configuration which controls the log output. npppd should be more silence? I myself feel the pipex log in dmesg is noisy. But almost all logs of /var/log/daemon are useful for me to debug the problem. --yasuoka
