Ooops on my side. I did not mean to test ftp but just use a different client (OpenBSD's ftp(1) handles http as well) and forgot the http://: ftp -o aeroflot.html http://www.aeroflot.ru Trying 195.8.62.75... Trying 195.8.62.76... ftp: connect: connection timed out There was a thread recently on that problem that I cannot find anymore. But it boilt down to the user agent your client reports.
