AFAIR GNOME packages on OpenBSD normally come a couple of weeks or months ahead of corresoponding packages on average linux distro. Given that GNOME increasingly becomes linux-only project, that is very much of accomplishment, so I would use this opportunity to thank GNOME maintainers (mostly ajacoutot@ and jasper@ as i gather) for their hard and fruitful work. I'm currently dualbooting between OpenBSD and Archlinux, and I didn't yet notice any significant difference in version numbers (except for binutils, obviously). -- Dmitrij D. Czarkoff
