(a) if you study past release CDs, you will see different space saving policies
    have been done in different generations.  For the last one, we decided to
    shine a bit by introducing more architectures, rather than more packages.
    (we == naddy and I; there's a pile of reasons for the decision)

(b) we are moving towards signed packages...
