There is no net.inet.ip.mforwarding in 3.8-release, only in -current. If you are running stock 3.8 you will still need to build a kernel with option MROUTING. If by any chance you are running -current, then you still will need to enable multicast routing by issuing sysctl net.inet.ip.mforwarding=1 -- Mathieu Sauve-Frankel
