I am in Austin Texas, with my cute little crappy laptop in a truck stop with lousy Wifi. I have had a remote server in Lansing Michigan since 2007. They offer a remote IP based Keyboard, video and mouse attachment that they connect to my server. I must have a web browser with Java in order to use it, from this or any other location in the world. I do not own the server, I rent it.
