Didn't we discuss this already ? At the moment, smtpd(8) is not the default MTA and as such requires that you take an extra step to activate. If you make this extra step, you are supposed to know what you're doing. There will be a time when we decide smtpd(8) is stable enough to replace sendmail(8) in base, at that point we will figure out what is the proper way to deal with the colliding documentation and the co-existance of the two. We still have a few issues to deal with first and there is no need to be in a hurry fixing non-issues before they are a problem. On the bright side, all feedback has been positive and we mostly receive feature requests, not bugs, these days. We still have 6 bugs to fix that are preventing us from saying that we have release material. We're about to close 4 of them. Be patient. -- Gilles Chehade https://www.poolp.org @poolpOrg
