Hey, could you try the following:
aucat -dd -frsnd/0 -i whatever.wav and send me the output. If you don't have a .wav file, just use any large bonary file (ex /bsd) it will produce noise. If it hangs, while above process is still running, could you run: audioctl; sleep 1; audioctl and send me the output as well. This is to test whether the DMA engine works; mplayer freezing suggests DMA doesn't start. thanks. -- Alexandre
