Thanks for the long post - it is obvious what happened and a good history lesson. This changes something for me - over the next few months, I will make a willful change away from Linux and FreeBSD where possible and towards an OS which champions something we all should hold precious, OpenBSD. I can see migrating file servers and firewall/boot server over. The application server may be a bit difficult.
