Shouldn't be too hard, but make sure you get your mail server machine a static IP address *and* a correct DNS entry, complete with reverse resolution. Largish chunks of the net will simply drop SMTP traffic from hosts without correct reverse on the floor. And then of course you get to poke into all the pleasures of striving to keep your inbox relatively sanitary - spamd, spamassassin, clamd etc come to mind. All the necessary tools are ither in base or within easy reach as packages. Do remember to read the supplied documentation and config file comments properly, and you'll get there. - P -- Peter N. M.
