I can confirm that cdparanoia works correctly for me on -current with a LiteOn "DVDRW SOHW-1633S" with same IDE controller as you, "VIA VT82C571 IDE" rev 0x06. if I were you, I'd try to update the firmware of the drive. -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
