There is a workaround for this [1]: # mv /usr/X11R6/share/X11/xkb /usr/X11R6/share/X11/xkb_orig # cd /usr/xenocara/data/xkeyboard-config && make build && make install This assumes you have the xenocara sources in /usr/xenocara.
