Hello,
On 4.8 I was using smtpd to relay periodic mails. The box is
a firewall and the resolver is not configured at all.
smtp.conf
# This is the smtpd server system-wide configuration file.
# See smtpd.conf(5) for more information.
listen on lo0
map "aliases" { source db "/etc/mail/aliases.db" }
accept for local alias aliases deliver to mbox
# smtp
accept for all relay via 129.20.xxx.xxx
That worked fine on 4.8, but with 4.9 the box does not send any mail :
/var/log/mailog:

Any idea?
