Hello there,

I have a question regarding additional RAM "TRUMP D1SC0816D DDR !GB-333Mhz SO.DIMM" the native RAM is 256MB, when additional RAM inserted I have lot of panicks and all the time they are different and occur at different times when PC is ran.
Is it compatable?
PC101 here, not an OpenBSD issue.

We certainly can't answer based on info provided, but something is obviously not right. If things were working fine before the additional RAM and not now, I think you know what the prime suspect is. "Defective" is my first guess, long before "not compatible", but could be anything from dirty socket to bad mobo as well.

btw: regarding the memtest86 recommendations you will surely be getting... if it comes up with a problem, it's probably right. if it says "no problem", it may be. On the other hand, I had a machine a while back that I put the wrong kind of RAM in, I *knew* it was the wrong kind of RAM, the machine wouldn't boot any OS I tossed at it...except for memtest86, which told me all was 100% fine after several days of running.

Nick.
