Probably not, but it allows you to boot the system. I updated BIOS to the latest available and booted the latest 4.9-current bsd.mp kernel. Booting with ACPI enabled still stops after acpihpet. I think I debugged the problem at some point last year and found that acpi code went into busyloop and never exited, but I already forgot the details. acpidump and dmesg are here: http://iki.fi/tero.koskinen/openbsd/acpi1/ Note: acpidump above is taken from system with 4.9-current kernel and 4.9-beta userland. I haven't had time to upgrade to the latest 4.9-current yet. dmesg (with acpi disabled) also below: OpenBSD 4.9-current (GENERIC.MP) #835: Tue Mar 15 19:54:03 MDT 2011 dera...@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP real mem = 3487105024 (3325MB) avail mem = 3380252672 (3223MB) User Kernel Config UKC> disable acpi 337 acpi0 disabled UKC> quit Continuing... mainbus0 at root bios0 at mainbus0: SMBIOS rev. 2.5 @ 0x9f400 (68 entries) bios0: vendor American Megatrends Inc. version "2105" date 07/23/2010 bios0: ASUSTeK Computer INC.
