I'm using a cisco 3524 xl at the moment.  I see the 2900 series switches
are fairly cheap these days on ebay.  I'd prefer an layer 2/3 managed
switch myself.  2924 can be had for a couple of hundred bucks probably.
Well worth it when you consider al lthe cool things you can do with it
ie.  Vlan and access lists.
