Hi folks,
I own a Soekris net4801 + vpn1401 card. This card is supposed to do some
encryption to improve system performance.
I copied some huge files via SFTP to the Soekris, with and without that
vpn card. In any case I only have a throughput of ~400 kb/s and a CPU
utilization of 100%.
I tried to ensure that the vpn1401 card is working, but did not found
any possibility. Best I found was:
soekris# vmstat -i | grep hifn
irq11/hifn0 379322 573
What does this output mean? Is someone able to explain this output to me?

Anyone has got a better way to ensure that this vpn card is working? Why
is there no improvement?
