the raid was reconstructed with the vendor utilities and finally
I get a broken MBR :(

the geometry of sd1 (not sd0 the mirrored pair) in the tree servers 
is 4425/255/63. I did a new installation with the consequent broken 
MBR message at the end of the process.

 I'm curious about the very low speeds in transfers, but
that will be a completely new thread.
