Read FAQ 8.4.  Follow its instructions.  Also use "man ports" as it
directs.

It is possible to install a port without the tree, but you first need to
know how to use the tree in the first place.

I've taken the liberty of looking at the port -- if you install the tree,
you'll find it in /usr/ports/x11/gatos-bin -- and this port has a 
description file that you should read.  Carefully.  You'll find it in
/usr/ports/x11/gatos-bin/pkg/DESCR.
