If the complete Linux still works, you can also boot into it, attach the Zaurus via USB to an OpenBSD machine, and mount the appropriate Zaurus device to copy the files over. I did this, too. The only problem was to determine *which* of the several sd0* devices to mount. Just fdisk and disklabel around a little bit. If you get lots of error messages on the zaurus and can't mount anything, disconnect the USB cable, wait a few seconds, then reconnect.
