Whatever you're running chrooted, the following files in /etc are
good candidates for your ${chroot}/etc:

group           localtime       passwd          pwd.db          services
hosts           master.passwd   protocols       resolv.conf     spwd.db

Of course, *passwd* et al should be created from scratch.
