hey all, these couple of days i have tried to set up OpenBSD with my alcatel speed touch home modem.
my ISP uses PPTP, so i downloaded pptp-1.1.0.tgz and installed it. i use OpenBSD 3.7 (GENERIC). i have read about this kind of set up and did all right, except it does not work. maybe i missed something along the way. the thing that bothers me is when i check mu messages (/var/log/messages) i get this line: pppd: PPP device not available. Make sure the device is created with ifconfig and that the kernel supports PPP. See ifconfig(8) and ppp(4). thanks, ami.
