you are asking just ASKING for a harsh response when you show you plainly haven't looked at the docs (: please send dmesg (http://www.openbsd.org/faq/faq4.html#getdmesg) and also output of mixerctl -a and audioctl -a for good measure. then perhaps we can see what the problem is.
