No, I haven't seen that problem. The problem I that have seen and assume was being referred to, is that dovecot sends t-bird a message describing a range of message numbers something like this: "mmmm - nnnn". T-bird parses the message incorrectly such that it interprets "nnnn" as -nnnn and responds with an error message in a dialog box to the effect that the imap server has responded with an invalid message range. This fix has been in place for several months and I haven't seen it in a long enough span of time that I have forgotten the precise details. The above is a general description.
