Probably ok, assuming that you've tested running this both with msvcrt.dll
and UCRT? (I don't have a test setup handy for running tests in this
testsuite.)
Oh, also: I'm ok with merging this patchset, after finishing the
discussion on patch 3/6, if you confirm that my understanding there is
correct.
