Hello guys!

We understand the fear for this kind of changes, but we've used this database in production environment for a couple of entities in LA, with the two Fineract versions, Mifos X and CN 

The second reason of this suggestion is related to the performance that TiDB can to have (even in a cluster) better than MySQL

Using a tested database engine will save us for tomorrow since there may not be a need to fix errors resulting from the database engine.  
We have found issues of different errors with different users as a result of database misconfiguration so, switching to a different database engine may limit your support in case of any issues.
