Hi!
Hoping I sent this correction in time! 🤞
All the best / Darryl
============================================
Greetings All,
There is an auction at Sotheby’s which ends this Friday, 3-December with 29
meteorites at no reserve. [Meteorites commence at Lot 88]
There is ALWAYS a great sleeper opportunity at a no-reserve auction. And there
are currently numerous lots which are selling for far less than you could
purchase them for from a dealer — including the auction house buyer’s
commission!
The advice I always share — and always follow — is to enter a bid that feels
good and then forget about it. While it doesn’t happen very often, you are at
least giving yourself the chance to receive an email which congratulates you on
your success — a deal which will result in your being extremely happy

It happens at every auction. Consider the following….
Name / Low Estimate / Current Bid / Price Gram
Henbury / $12,000 / $1,200 / $206/kg
Ghubara / $3,500 / $300 / $0.10/g
Willamette / $2,250 / $1,100 / $63/g
Timbuktu / $2,500 / $500 / $3.75/g
Seymchan pallasite / $14,000 / $3,000 / $5.60/g
Lunar Rabt Spayta 002 / $14,000 / $1,700 / $11.88/g
Ensisheim / $3,000 / $1,000 / $97/g
Lunar NWA 8306 / $12,000 / $1,200 / $12.63/g
There is also a 1200 gram / 3.25 inch diameter Seymchan Sphere whose current
high bid is $5000. A matchless Seymchan — nearly 50kg with a natural hole —
whose high bid is currently $12,000.
Place a bid that feels good and who knows — Christmas may arrive early!
