When trying to build git mesa with gcc LTO (gcc 4.7.1-9ubuntu2), it fails with
this error:

/usr/bin/ld: /tmp/cc2u7Pv8.ltrans0.ltrans.o: relocation R_386_GOTOFF against
undefined symbol `x86_entry_end.2334.4268' can not be used when making a shared
object
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Bad value
