the patch works fine here, you may have better luck trying the shim if you're
just trying to play the game. you dont need any envvar set with my patch. you
just compile mesa with it and play the game. additionally without knowing what
hardware you're on i have no idea why it might crash. i do know for intel you
need at least opengl 4.5 to be supported
