I've changed yours too for now, but for me it's not always trivial to find which of the private emails (yes, sometimes there's more than one) would be most appropriate for each developers. Also, some might prefer e.g. their email associated with FLOSS (e.g. @freedesktop.org) rather than the private one, even when they have used both. I really think that at this point it's just better to commit what we have and then anybody that prefers a different primary email can change theirs.
