Hi list, I'm just asking on behalf of a few people in the the wayland-devel group to quickly check if the minimum requirements are there. I haven't yet had a chance to build it.
For wayland, "X output requires DRI2. DRM output (without X) requires Kernel Mode Setting (KMS) and the page flip ioctl." >From what I've read about vmwgfx.ko, KMS is supported since ~2.6.33. I would imagine that the page flip ioctl is supported with enable_fbdev=1, no? Personally, I probably won't be using X (yet), but is there DRI2 support for vmwgfx? For the project I'm currently working on, being able to use vmwgfx would be a major help.
