I'm not super caught up in exactly what words are used... I just think it'd be useful to have a term and some kind of official 'seal' to distinguish well vetted, tested apps, from 'this python script I downloaded from my cousin Bob's website'... maybe if the criteria for getting into Extras is sufficiently strong, it's enough to do what you suggested and call them a 'MeeGo Extra App'...
