Verizon coverage and price plans. And figure out whether I want to buy
a telephone from one vendor who is suing another vendor who is suing
yet another vendor. ;-)
Really - that issue *does* need to be raised - patents and open source
and lawsuits and all that. It's fine for big businesses like Intel and
Nokia and Google and Apple and HTC, but for a small business like an
app developer, it's a minefield of costs that don't add any value to
products.

works great on T-Mobile (including 3G). You can pick it up at the

really want to put an open source symbolic package up on a MeeGo
pocket form factor device. I'm thinking (command line) Maxima for
sure, wxMaxima if the wx toolkit works. But I don't know which Lisp I
want to use as the engine.
Clisp is what's in openSUSE, so that's probably where I'll end up. I
also need Lisp for the algorithmic composition stuff, so I'd prefer a
Lisp that will support both Maxima and Common Music.
By way of comparison, command line Maxima ran just fine on the Sharp
Zaurus. I believe the processors are faster and there is more RAM in
today's devices. ;-)
Speaking of which, the Nokia N900 appears to be the closest thing
available to a "MeeGo" device. Is it available in the USA? From a
carrier, or do I have to buy an unlocked one and pick a carrier? If I
have to buy an unlocked one and pick a carrier, which carriers will
work with it? Is there an emulator?
