NDC as much as possible. For compounds, IVs that have to be mixed,
patient own meds (used as minimally as possible) use RX number.

Felt NDC was actually attached to the drug so provided more safety than
RX number.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] BMV USERS

Hello All,

We are wondering what sites who are currently using BMV use for the drug
bar code - NDC # or drug mnemonic and why you went with that decision?

Thank you,
