Steve Costa, I tried to reply directly to you and apparently your server is rejecting my emails. So I'm sending through the list. Sorry, everbody else. Lots going on today. We are using 3 printers in registration to print labels and arm bands. They are all set up with "half-sheets" in the manual feed tray (tray 1) and sheets with labels and armbands in the regular tray (tray 2). I looked at them after lunch today. We originally had a 4150 I think (it was definitely a 4100 series). That is what I did my testing on. It had problems recently (I'm told) and was replaced with a 4250. We currently use 3 printers: HP 4200 Tray 1 size: custom Type: labels HP 4250 Tray 1 size: custom Type: labels HP 4250 Tray 1 size: custom Type: plain (I think this one is supposed to be set to type: labels also, but hey, if it ain't broke leave it alone...) I don't remember the mode setting on the 4150, so I'm not sure what you would set that. If you want to send me a list of the options, I'll see if anything rings a bell. We haven't had any trouble with our setup since we got the initial settings worked out. I'll be glad to send you a copy of my report if you think it might help you figure things out there. Best wishes, Donald F. Stewart Sr. Programmer Analyst (706)647-8111 x1696 [EMAIL PROTECTED] <BLOCKED::mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

What kind of printer are you using and what settings are you using on the printer: - Tray 1 Mode? - Tray 1 Size? - Tray 1 Type? I'm using an HP Laserjet 4100. I added your code to the NPR report and then on the printer, I set 'Tray 1 Mode' to Cassette but the printer choked on the paper (I think because it was expecting letter size rather than a half-sheet). So I added D(27)_"&l101A"^! to the report to tell the printer to use Custom as the paper size and then on the printer I set 'Tray 1 Size' to Custom and that worked except, the overlay that comes from FastForms stopped printing. We leave our "half sheets" of labels in the manual feed tray in Registration. This the code I use in our NPR to print them without manual intervention: AL START D(27)_"&l4H"^! You could also use this in an AL BEFORE.PRINT D(27)_"&l4H"^! Hope this helps, Donald F. So I want to use the manual-feed tray for all prescriptions and only prescriptions. I'm using an HP Laserjet 4100. If I set the tray 1 mode to First, that tray is used for all printing. If I set the tray 1 mode to Cassette, I'm able to put code (D(27)_"&n11WdPreprinted"^! or %Z.switch.tray(2)) in the NPR report to force it to select the manual feed tray but the printer wants the user to press the GO button on the printer before it will print. Is there any way I can put special paper in the manual-feed tray and have the printer only use that paper for RXM prescriptions without the user having to walk to the printer and press the GO button every time? I know this can be done for other trays but the manual feed tray doesn't seem to have the same functionality.
