Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has been able to get query responses to
default into a PHA CDS during order entry without the pharmacist
accessing them. See my issue below. We have had a task open for 4 years
with no resolution. If you have any better ideas

THE WHY: I want to create default responses to a query through the use
of a rule, just like setting default responses to the comment field
through the use of a rule. What happens now is I can create defaults to
the CDS so the phamacist doesn't have to enter anything, but the only
way the defaults get filed, is when the CDS is accessed.
THE PROBLEM /WHAT IS BEING DONE NOW: So the pharmacist is entering an
order, goes to file the order and a message pops up that there are
required queries. The pharmacist then has to get to the query prompt,
enter yes, the CDS opens, files the responses without stopping and then
closes.
THE SOLUTION: What I'd like is a keyword that will write data to the
query responses to the CDS for the order. ie { f rx set qry
resp("ANSWER",QUERYNAME)  }
THE BENEFIT:I would think the system could be more efficient and allow
the use of the rule calculations to formulate answers - and have a rule
evaluating at the MED or DOSE prompt, use the new keyword to
automatically send the response to the queries. An example of my working
CDS is test facility = FH, pick an inpatient, order type = FU, Med =
ENOXI30 Dose has to be more than 50mg I'm storing the patients current
weight and weight range at the time of the order, so I can run a report
every day to see if the patients weight has changed enough (a different
weight range) that a dose adjustment is necessary.

End result:
I'm storing the patients current weight and weight range at the time of
the order, so I can run a report every day to see if the patients weight
has changed enough (a different weight range) that a dose adjustment is
necessary.
