I cannot change the size, because the label pieces are pretty tight as
is. I did find a way around it - sort of. I accessed the printer from
my computer desktop, selected properties and then fonts. I then chose to
download fonts and selected Arial Bold. It was assigned an ID of S50. So
for the pt name, I used this as the value of a custom field in my label
report: . This prints the pt name in Arial Bold at a size of 30 dots.
Works good.

Problem with this approach is that the position is hard-coded in the
string - 0022 0382 as the row and column. I do not know how to use this
approach with a field further down the label since the line can change
based on multiples above it. Anybody know how to use the field's
position as a variable? What field or / variable is the position stored
in? I know the data gets sent to /V[#] in the report before it's
printed, but I have no idea how to pull the row data as a variable.

Thanks for any help.

Roger

Not as yet, the FONT=b does not work, so I just made the size a little
bigger SIZE=1.2 to make it stand out.

Has anyone had luck with bolding fields with a Datamax I class printer?
The standard Font=b does not work with this thermal printer.

Thanks - Roger
