I must agree, this part of the "L" is for end users to post questions to
other users and if a vendor feels that he/she want to answer they can.
If an end user is moving to another city and wants to know if there is a
facility looking in the new area that is OK because it is an end user.
But if a consultant starts a message to try and get facilities to hire
him/her then this is not the proper area. The "L" has helped me many a
time and I have contributed a few times. If a company like Iatric
Systems or a single consultant wishes to answer a question, it is
welcomed with arms wide open. And to comment on MUSE (past board
member), if you do not work for a facility, then you are a vendor. Size
does not matter, you are supplying a service.
That's my 2 cents worth.

I see a difference in someone posting a job opportunity vs someone
trying to get me to purchase their services.

Daniel-
It seems you had an issue with a "vendor" posting advertisements on the
L -
here's one from your own HCA. Just because a hospital isn't considered
a
vendor, please explain how this is different? I'm extremely sensitive
to
this because as an Independent Consultant, I am now labeled as a
"vendor" in
the eyes of MUSE...someday you'll have to explain that to me as well. I
am
so far from being a "vendor" that it becomes ridiculous.

I say live and let live. I'm sure there is some unspoken rule that gets
followed during the process of moderating these...content, frequency of
posts, etc. Gil et al do as amazing job at moderating this list, which
by
the way seems to be a thankless job...so let me just say - THANKS GIL.

Peace out.
