I don't know if CS works differently (we are Magic 5.4, soon to update to
5.6). We only have certain MIS locations set to "Broadcast Always" - "y",
such as ER, CCU, & OR. For everywhere else, only STATS and TIMED specimens
auto-BCAST (a parameter setting, I believe) and, of course the Critical Hi's
and Lo's as determined on pg 2 of the Lab Test Dictionary.

Our pg 2 settings are "Broadcast Print" - 'y' and "Broadcast Trigger" -
"PALL" and it allows for only critical values to print at those locations
NOT set to Broadcast Always 'y' in the MIS Location Dictionary. It's been
working well this way for us every since we first started with MT (1992).

Hope this helps.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] LAB STAT BROADCAST

Direction from those already in the real world. We have been asked to stop
the Lab Broadcast to various locations and broadcast only Critical Highs and
Lows. We have in MIS every location

to AUTO BROADCAST. Customer defined parameter in Lab Auto Priorities as
STAT. Lab TEST then defined on page 2 SOME HAVE BROADCAST print and
BROADCAST TRIGGER PALL. So for any that just broadcast STATS to ER and
Critical High/lows what do these dictionaries need to have. We are by the
way a Magic 5.4 release hospital.

Thanks so much in advance.
