Hello All, We are currently LIVE with EDM (Magic) software, we have 2 MIS locations to encompass the ER and the ER fast track. We do this for Printing/reporting reasons. We are concerned with our staff utilizing the fast track beds for Main ER patients when beds are not available in the Main ER. When they assign these beds their MIS location will now be the fast track MIS location though they are not fast track patients. We thought of double building each room so they can each be mapped to the main ER location and the fast track location and assigning the appropriate room depending on the type of patient visit, but that seems cumbersome.
If there is a site out there that currently is using EDM and has separate MIS locations for their Main ER and their Fast track could you please contact me so we can talk about how you made this work best.
