Kalispell Regional Medical Center will be teaching a Beginning/Intermediate NPR Report Writing Class on August 15, 16 and 17. Kalispell, Montana is close to Glacier National Park, Big Mountain and Flathead Lake (the largest fresh water lake west of the continental divide). This course is designed for the NPR Novice. DAY ONE will cover: NPR Data Structure with Terminology, Data Hierarchy, Segment/Field Relationship, Segment Hierarchy and Field Listings Basic Subscripting Computed Fields Pointers and Possessives Using Line and Field Attributes Sorting and Selecting Hands On Report Writing DAY TWO AND THREE will reinforce DAY ONE topics through more hands on while covering basic Intermediate Topics of: Variables - Local and Global IF Statements Sorting and Selecting Using Indexes More on Subscripting More on Computed Fields MAGIC Math Decimal Precision Calculating Averages, Mean, Mode String Extractions Line Checks More on using Line and Field Attributes Z.Programs Basic Fragments The intent is to give a beginning user enough confidence to build basic intermediate reports upon completion of the three day training. Maximum number of participants is eight so that each person can receive personal attention. If you are interested in attending please email me or call me for more details. We will be giving an Advanced Intermediate 2 day training in October as a follow up for those users who would like to be able to write more complicated reports. That training will do a basic review of above and cover: Fragments DO Loops Macros MV Arrays Logical Next/Previous Physical Next/Previous ECB,ECE More to follow on that.
